Living in Mission Royale
Mission Royale is Casa Grande’s flagship active-adult community, developed by Robson Communities on the west side of town near I-10. The draw is the lifestyle package: an 18-hole golf course, a large clubhouse, resort-style pools, pickleball, and an unusually active social calendar. Homes run from low-maintenance single-story patio homes to larger builds, and published 2026 listings have generally fallen in the $250,000–$400,000 range depending on size and upgrades.
The tradeoffs are the ones that come with any 55+ resort community: age restrictions, monthly HOA dues that fund the amenities, and a location a few minutes farther from downtown shopping. For golfers and retirees who want their weekends back, that trade usually pencils out.
How it compares
If you want the amenity-rich planned-community feel but aren’t 55+, look at Villago (lakes and parks) or Ghost Ranch (newer family builds). If HOA rules are exactly what you’re trying to avoid, Central Casa Grande and the County Pockets are the usual alternatives.
